Rebuilding from broken: Guiding your path post PT

If you have experienced a serious injury before, you can understand how life changing it may seem. Any debilitating injury is an eye opener for a lot of people, and some may say it changes their conception of what is ‘normal’. With that being said, your ‘normal’ may look different than what you think it is. Many people come out of PT accepting that their shoulder, knee, etc., may never be the same, and while that is true on a fundamental level post surgery, I believe that your capabilities and standards can go above this predisposed idea of ‘normal’.

I want to break down a path that I have used in my practice as a certified personal trainer with a Master’s degree in Exercise Science, as well as this methodology was taught to me from some other very reputable sources in the field of exercise and overall wellness. The main idea here is to bring someone back to baseline to where they were before the injury.

The notion that ‘exercise is medicine’ is quickly gaining popularity, and that statement has my backing fully. Movement itself is a medicine that has been shown to improve the lives of many, and with that in mind, I wrote this ebook to highlight some of the ideas I have for bringing yourself back to ‘normal’ and stronger than you were before your injury!
